WHY DO I NEED TO GET MY OIL CHECKED?

Oil is the life-blood of your vehicle. Quality oil reduces friction and heat, so your engine doesn’t burn up and seize. Our team will check your oil level and let you know if you need a top up.
  • Suitable for Ute, SUV, 4WD or Van type vehicles. If you have a hatchback, sedan or station wagon type vehicle, please select our Passenger Car Wheel Alignment.

Regular wheel alignments will improve fuel economy and are essential for even tyre wear, which will give your tyres a longer life.

WHEN SHOULD MY WHEEL ALIGNMENT BE CHECKED?

You should have your wheel alignment checked:
    • When fitting new tyres
    • Every 12 months or every 10,000 km you drive (whichever comes first)
    • After the replacement of any steering or suspension parts
    • After getting vehicle repairs because of an accident.

HOW CAN I TELL IF MY CAR NEEDS A WHEEL ALIGNMENT?

TAKE NOTE OF THESE WARNING SIGNS:
    • Your car is ‘pulling’ to one side and hard to keep in a straight line when driving
    • You feel excessive road shock through the steering wheel
    • The steering wheel doesn’t return to centre
    • Irregular tyre wear – on front or rear tyres
    • The steering feels heavy.

  • To book your FREE Tyre Pressure Check, just add this item to your cart and book your appointment time at the checkout. This is a no obligation, FREE service, and you won't be asked to pay anything at checkout.

WHY DO I NEED TO GET MY TYRE PRESSURE CHECKED?

Tyres which are under-inflated or over-inflated wear out more quickly and don’t handle as well when you are driving. Maintaining the correct tyre pressure will help you to use less fuel and be safer on the road – and your tyres will last longer. Our friendly team will check the tyre pressure of all your tyres, and adjust the pressure as required to match your car manufacturer's specifications. This will only take a few minutes and is all FREE of charge!
  • To book your FREE Tread Depth Check, just add this item to your cart and book your appointment time at the checkout. This is a no obligation, FREE service, and you won't be asked to pay anything at checkout.

WHY DO I NEED TO GET TREAD DEPTH CHECKED?

Tread depth measures how worn your tyres are. Worn or bald tyres with poor tread depth will greatly affect the overall braking and cornering performance of your vehicle, putting you, your passengers and other road users at risk. Beaurepaires recommends that you replace tyres when the tread depth reaches 3mm. Our friendly team will check the tread depth of all of your tyres and make sure they are at a safe tread depth.
  • WHY DO I NEED TO ROTATE MY TYRES?

Nearly every vehicle and tyre manufacturer suggest you intermittently rotate your tyres so they wear consistently and last for a longer period of time. Tyre rotations are one of the most effective ways to prolong the life of your tyres and get the maximum value from your tyre investment. Whether you drive a sedan, 4x4 or SUV, your tyre 'health' will benefit from being rotated periodically because the weight and workload they carry are unevenly distributed among the four wheels, making the tyres wear unevenly over time. Rotations help to rectify this by distributing the tyre wear more evenly. The frequency of tyre rotations are dependant on the vehicle itself and the manufacturer's recommendations (these guidelines are listed in the owners' manual). As a rule of thumb, get your tyres rotated every time you get an oil change or every 10,000 KM. For example, if you drive 20,000 KM per year you should be rotating your tyres twice a year.
  • Suitable for hatchback, sedan and station wagon type vehicles. If you have a Ute, SUV, 4WD or Van type vehicle, please select our SUV/ RV/ 4WD/ Van Wheel Balancing.

WHY SHOULD I GET MY WHEELS BALANCED?

If the tyre and wheel assembly are not balanced or balanced incorrectly, this can result in vibrations occurring at a range of different speeds. A vibration can manifest itself and be felt through the steering wheel, the floor, the dashboard or the seats. Correct tyre balance is achieved using modern sophisticated and accurate balancing machines that we use to identify the inherent imbalance of wheels, tyres and valves. Incorrect wheel balance can also cause mechanical stress and wear within the steering, drive and suspension components thereby leading to costly repair charges. Unusual or abnormal tyre wear can also be caused by poor wheel and tyre balance which can lead to shortened tyre life and tyre mileage.

WHEN SHOULD I GET MY WHEELS BALANCED?

It is important to carry out a wheel balance every time a wheel and tyre are disassembled and reassembled (such as when changing a tyre, getting a puncture repaired and changing mag wheels). This will also help identify that the wheels are in good order and aren’t damaged in any way. From time to time as part of essential maintenance of the wheel / tyre assembly and drivetrain, it is good practice to check and rebalance wheels and tyres as the tyre balance changes as the tyre becomes worn and tyre weight is reduced as a result of reduced tread depth. For a comfortable drive and sustained vehicle & tyre performance it is recommended that all four wheels are balanced at the same time.

  • Got a puncture? We can get you back on the road in no time! Book a time for your puncture repair and let the friendly team at Beaurepaires take care of the rest. Suitable for hatchback, sedan and station wagon type vehicles. If you have a Ute, SUV, 4WD or Van type vehicle, please select our SUV/ RV/ 4WD/ Van Puncture Repair.

    HOW DO PUNCTURES OCCUR?

All tyres can get punctures and this is an unavoidable fact of motoring. Worn or over inflated tyres are more likely to suffer from punctures whereas tyres that are well maintained and kept in good condition suffer from less punctures. In many cases punctures can often be repaired safely and within the tyre manufacturer’s recommendations and the regulations or standards concerning safe tyre repairs and methods. We only repair tyres that sit completely within these rules for your safety and peace of mind.

WHAT TYPE OF DAMAGE CANNOT BE REPAIRED?

The tyre must be removed from the wheel in order to accurately assess its actual condition and the type of repair required. Tyres presenting the following signs of damage cannot be repaired and MUST be taken out of service:
    • Visible or deformed bead wire
    • Heating and separation of internal plies or layers
    • Deterioration due to solvents, grease or corrosive particles
    • Creasing or mottling of the interior lining (inside rubber)
    • Circular wear on the sidewall due to contact between the rubber and the ground
    • Cracking of the rubber due to ageing of the tyre.
For us safety is non-negotiable so we will only repair tyres that can be used safely without risk. For more information about puncture repairs visit our Puncture Repair page.

    HEADLIGHT RESTORATION AT BEAUREPAIRES

Let us restore dull, yellowed headlights to like-new condition! Faded headlights (yellowing headlights) caused by the oxidisation of the surface of the outer cover, can cause a serious degradation in the effectiveness of the light itself. Our multi-stage process focuses on deeper discolouration and scratches to restore the lens to like new condition and add a protective layer to ensure longevity of the restored surface. Give your car a mini ‘face lift’ with a Headlight Restoration service at your local Beaurepaires.
