Tyre Maintenance Advice

Take a look at Beaurepaires’ top quality advice from the automotive experts, keeping you safe and ultimately saving you money.

  • Check your tyres regularly to make sure there is plenty of tread. The minimum legal depth is 1.5mm but the more tread you have the better grip and the safer you will be.
  • Beaurepaires recommends that you replace your tyres when the tread depth reaches 3mm. Tyres below the 3mm recommendation are worn by up to 78% and will greatly affect overall braking and cornering performance of your vehicle. You can use a tyre tread depth checker/gauge or go to your local Beaurepaires and get our team to check it for you.
  • Regular wheel alignments will improve fuel economy and are essential for even tyre wear, which will give your tyres a longer life. Wheel alignments should be done once a year or every 12,000km.
  • For better fuel economy always choose the best quality engine oil suitable for your vehicle. The less friction you have between the parts in your engine, the more easily the parts can work and move – and the less fuel you will burn. Beaurepaires stocks Shell Helix Ultra with Pureplus Technology which can help you get up to 3% better fuel economy.*

Fitting and service charges include the following:

Tyre Fitting & Wheel Balancing – Our friendly team will remove your old tyres and fit the new tyres to your wheels, while also balancing to ensure even tyre wear, a smooth ride and even weight distribution.

Tubeless Rubber Valve – This is the valve you use to put air into your tyres. Over time, these can deteriorate, creating a safety hazard. By installing a new valve we can ensure your safety when you need to put air in your tyres in the future.

Tyre Disposal – Your tyres do not go to the rubbish dump but to a sustainable processing plant to get broken down and reused for other products and projects.
