Need replacement wiper blades? Premium quality wiper blades for your car, 4WD, SUV or van available now at Beaurepaires.

Your windscreen wipers are essential for driving safely because they either improve or inhibit driving visibility.

Did you know your windscreen wipers play a key role in keeping you safe, especially during poor weather conditions like; rain, hail or snow.

If you suspect your blades aren’t doing a good job, it’s time probably to replace them. Come into your local Beaurepaires today!

At Beaurepaires we have a wide range of premium quality Tridon windscreen wipers for cars, 4WD, SUV, van and more. Tridon windscreen wiper blades are manufactured to the highest quality to ensure a crisp clean wipe. The low profile low lift design uses a galvanised zinc steel frame and stainless steel rivets for maximum corrosion protection, along with plastic bushes for a smooth operation, less noise and longer service life. Our friendly team will help if you are unsure of the length and type of wipers best suited for your car.

Wiper Blades are available at all Beaurepaires Stores (excluding Beaurepaires Alexandra and Ashburton).

Here are our top signs you might need to replace your windscreen wipers.

If you have streaks on your windscreen, or dust and dirt that just won’t come off, you definitely need to replace your blades. The rubber on your windscreen wipers should grip the window creating a nice smooth, easy wipe to remove any water or dirt.

A quick trick: try using a cloth or paper towel to wipe your blades – this may fix the problem, but if it keeps happening, then we recommend replacement.

You know that terrible noise your wipers make when they drag across the glass? Well that screeching noise means they need to go. Not only is it not nice to listen to, but it usually means the wipers aren’t cleaning your windshield the way they should because they’re only in contact with the glass some of the time.

Did you know that you should be able to turn your windscreen wipers on even when it’s not raining and they should just slide across the glass? If they skip or grab on the windscreen it’s likely the rubber may have deteriorated. Take a close look at your windshield wipers. Is the rubber all one smooth piece or is it cracked, split, or broken off in places? If the rubber is in poor condition it will most likely be doing an equally poor job and  can cause vision problems while you’re on the road.

When it’s raining hard, it’s really obvious when your wipers stop reaching certain parts of your windshield. If the blades aren’t coming into contact with the corners or some spot in the middle anymore, you need new ones. They’ve pulled up from the windshield because of old rubber or because of a bent frame, and they aren’t doing their jobs anymore.

If you live in cold climates you might want to think about getting new ‘winter’ blades as the cold weather approaches. The ice and snow in winter will damage regular wiper blades much faster than those manufactured to withstand cold temperatures and frozen windshields.

Wiper blades should be replaced every six months to a year or as soon as you notice a difference in driving visibility.

When wiper blades no longer make proper contact with the windshield surface, they can begin to squeak, chatter, skip, smear or streak reducing driving visibility.

Yes, we recommend you replace both blades at the same time.  The chances are both blades are the same age and condition – nothing worse than one working well and the other one not. Plus don’t forget the rear wiper blades on 4WDs, minivans, SUVs and hatchbacks.

Wiper Blades are now available at all Beaurepaires Stores (excluding Beaurepaires Alexandra and Ashburton).

Fitting and service charges include the following:

Tyre Fitting & Wheel Balancing – Our friendly team will remove your old tyres and fit the new tyres to your wheels, while also balancing to ensure even tyre wear, a smooth ride and even weight distribution.

Tubeless Rubber Valve – This is the valve you use to put air into your tyres. Over time, these can deteriorate, creating a safety hazard. By installing a new valve we can ensure your safety when you need to put air in your tyres in the future.

Tyre Disposal – Your tyres do not go to the rubbish dump but to a sustainable processing plant to get broken down and reused for other products and projects.
